Unpicking AI:
One Token at a Time
Almost everyone you know is bluffing about AI. Unpicking AI is for the many people who’ve had a quick dabble with ChatGPT and would quite like to know what’s going on underneath, without needing a computer science degree.
Written through an educator’s eyes but for everyone, from a curious 15-year-old to a governor suddenly asked for a view on ‘AI strategy’, it explains in plain English what AI is and isn’t, how it learns, why it confidently makes things up, which risks deserve your attention, and how to use it on purpose so it earns its place.
Twelve short chapters come with Jargon buster boxes, five-minute Try this experiments, a quick summary at the end of every chapter, a glossary of every complicated word and a starter kit for schools, workplaces and boards. No maths, no code. If you can use a phone, you’re overqualified.
